Wrappers around Agent Executable File

Description

Description: Using wrappers on Datto Endpoint Security Agent executable file.

Solution:

Datto EDR does not recommend customers using any kind of wrappers (including MSI for Microsoft Intune) on Agent / Controller exe file to be used for installation purpose in production environment.

Below are the supported installation methods:

1) Using a manual install (Right click the file → Run as Administrator)

2) Using PowserShell / Batch file which is available in our official GitHub page (https://github.com/Datto EDR/PowershellTools/tree/master/AgentDeployment)

3) Using Microsoft GPO (https://support.infocyte.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027746551-Deploying-the-Agent-with-GPO)
