New features

  • Now, you can configure Datto EDR to send selected alerts to you via email. Navigate to > My Profile > Notifications > Alert Notifications. Enable the Receive Alert Email Notifications toggle, select Instant, and choose your preferred options. Once you save the settings, the notifications you selected will be delivered to the email address associated with your user profile. Refer to Configuring email alerts to learn more.

Enhancements

  • We've adjusted the weight of the PUP/PUA flag from 4 to 2. Because the majority of these alerts do not require immediate attention, the change reduces the volume of notifications you'll receive for them. All PUP/PUA activity will remain visible and searchable as lower severity items.

  • To reduce the time you need to spend researching matched instance telemetry data for execution status, Microsoft Defender Antivirus alerts will now include the Execution status in the File section of the alert details.

Bug fixes

  • We've resolved an issue that caused some ransomware alerts to display as the source type's reputation.

  • Previously, when a user session became idle, Datto EDR repeatedly surfaced the Extend Time prompt with no way to permanently dismiss it. Clicking the prompt will now extend your session and dismiss the message.

  • Under certain circumstances, the Endpoint Security agent could get stuck in an update loop and become inactive. This release corrects the problem.

    • IMPORTANT  You will need to manually enable agents that were impacted by this issue. In Datto EDR, navigate to > Admin > Agents. Re-enable any agents that are incorrectly in a disabled state.
