New features
Datto AV for MacOS coming soon!
Over the rest of the year we will be enabling Datto AV for MacOS. This release includes the backend infrastructure to support MacOS upgrades. Watch for upcoming announcements on the progress and timelines for general availability of Datto AV for Macs.
Enhancements
- Partners integrated with Datto RMM can now rename synced devices in EDR. The device name is originally created by using the hostname when a device first activates in EDR.
- The EDR agent has been updated to gather more information regarding the filepath and process IDs. The filepath and other information is used as part of the behavioral detections.
- The EDR agent now creates on device monitors to watch the EDR services and attempt to restart any EDR service that may be stopped or not running. This will help keep your endpoints actively monitored.
- RMM integrated partners can now move non-RMM synced devices into RMM synced locations. This provides more flexibility and options for managing manually.
- To monitor for suspicious accounts, the EDR agent monitors account information such as time created and permission level. For domain controllers, we found issues causing some scans to fail when there were a large number of accounts. We have improved the method for detecting accounts so scans can complete quickly.
Bug fixes
We discovered a bug in the EDR policy where users could schedule scans and run response actions such as isolating every device, even when the policy was disabled. Now, when a policy is disabled, EDR scans will be stopped from running actions.
