Enhancements

  • With this release, endpoints that you have isolated from the network via a response extension will remain manageable in Datto RMM.

  • To support the RocketCyber integration, RMM site IDs will now be included in ransomware alerts. This enhancement benefits those customers who also leverage the RMM integration because RocketCyber maps RMM sites. As a result, EDR alerts will map to RMM sites in RocketCyber.

  • We've upgraded our Ransomware Detection engine to include the following improvements:

    • Faster detection (as quickly as 200 milliseconds) of some of the most common ransomware strains

    • Expanded identification of certain hard-to-detect ransomware strains, such as Maze, Hive, Robbinhood, Trigona, and more

    • Algorithms for identifying Azov 'Wiper' ransomware

      IMPORTANT  Wiper ransomware is not crypto-ransomware; instead of encrypting data, it overwrites and destroys data.

    • Improved detection of ransomware processes to be killed

    • Enhanced resilience against false-positives for unique extensions that are not ransomware

Bug fixes

  • We've resolved an issue that could prevent object totals from appearing in the Analyze page's left navigation pane after performing a data refresh.

  • Previously, new users may have received the error message, "Your account is not authorized to access this instance," incorrectly when logging in to Datto EDR for the first time. New users will no longer see this message for instances to which they have access.

  • Under certain circumstances, ransomware alerts that appeared in Datto EDR could fail to appear in RMM. This release resolves the issue.
