New features

  • Ransomware detection is now available in Datto EDR. This feature checks monitored endpoints for suspicious file patterns that resemble ransomware activity, surfaces alerts in your instance to notify you, and can isolate infected hosts from the network if it suspects a problem.   • AuthWeb, our centralized authentication platform, now provides your Datto EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) authentication experience.

Enhancements

  • This release renames Datto EDR's Secure page to Policies. We've made this change to reflect the expanded role this page fills as your one-stop management portal for ransomware policies and scan policies. Review our Working with the Policies page article to see how we've improved your user experience.

  • We have expanded the payload options for alerts sent via webhook, Now, you can include the originating location ID in your notifications by adding the {{targetGroupId}} variable to the webhook body. Check out Creating Datto EDR webhooks for more details about creating customized alerts.

  • To ensure the visibility of your most urgent alerts, we have adjusted the default notification filters to surface alerts in the high and severe categories.

Bug fixes

  • We've resolved an edge case that could cause false-positive alerts for processes that were no longer alive.
