Integrated billing via Autotask and Kaseya BMS
SECURITY Datto EDR subscription with administrator or analyst-level platform access
Datto EDR customers who leverage Autotask or BMS can choose to use either platform to bill their clients for seat usage. This feature is made possible by allowing KaseyaOne to collect license usage data from your Datto EDR platform.
This article explains how to do so.
Procedure
Establishing a billing connection between Datto EDR and KaseyaOne is as simple as using the Log in with KaseyaOne feature to access your EDR platform. Once you've done so, the following processes happen automatically:
-
KaseyaOne creates a universal Organization ID for your Datto EDR platform.
-
Datto EDR sends daily usage metrics to KaseyaOne, where they're stored in a data lake.
-
When configured to do so, Autotask and BMS can poll KaseyaOne to retrieve EDR license data for use in your client billing.
